About Us

Delivery Team and Advisory Board

As the Regional Centre of Excellence (RCE) for the South East of England, South East Excellence exists to support the urban renaissance of our towns and cities. For more information about how we will achieve this, go to What We Do.

A small, full time delivery team for South East Excellence is based at the South East England Development Agency’s (SEEDA) headquarters. In July 2006, an Advisory Board chaired by Trevor Osborne from Trevor Osborne Property Group, was established, and currently includes representatives from the house building industry, local government, universities and built environment consultancies. The purpose of the Advisory Board is to: provide advice and support to the South East Excellence team; review progress; identify barriers; promote collaborative or inter-agency projects; and assist in the assessment and review of impacts.

Members of the Advisory Board were selected for their specialist advice, gained through their expertise as individuals. Whilst the Advisory Board meets quarterly, task and finish groups, made up on a small number of Advisory Board Members, have been set up to look at individual activities related to the Action Plan.

The diverse and extended nature of the South East makes access to intelligence and contacts at a sub-regional level essential. It is therefore important that organisations from a local, sub-regional and regional level take ownership of South East Excellence, and are active in demonstrating projects of interest to the wider South East Excellence audience.

If you feel you can make a contribution by offering expertise or advice, please contact us.
