Alison is an urban designer and landscape architect with extensive experience, gained from working in Britain and SE Asia, of large scale world class design and regeneration projects such as King’s Cross Central in London, Millennium Quarter Masterplan in London’s Docklands, Liverpool’s The Pier Head, Housing Market Renewal in Stoke-on-Trent, Malaysia’s new federal government city, Putrajaya and Lawley, Telford, UK’s largest sustainable urban extension.

Alison has been with EDAW since 1999 and has considerable experience in the organisation of multi-disciplinary teams working on complex projects which involve masterplanning, detailed urban design guidance and Design Codes, and regeneration of existing urban areas. Alison’s clients include English Partnerships, regeneration agencies across Britain, Local Authorities as well as private developers including volume house builders.

Particular expertise lies in taking forward the sustainable development agenda including promotion of the distinctive character in keeping with regional identity, promotion of the well-being of present and future generations through sustainable integration of work place and home and creation of thriving communities with readily accessible cultural and social facilities. Alison led EDAW’s corporate membership of CABE’s Design Code Panel and was involved in both the Design Code Think Tanks and Pilot Projects.
